A Love That Changed Everything
I met my husband through a mutual friend, and from that very first moment, something shifted in me. After 17 years in a difficult marriage, I had forgotten what it felt like to truly need someone — until him.
When he was taken away the first time, my whole world went quiet. That’s when I knew — life without him wasn’t a life I wanted. I bailed him out, and what started as a deep connection became an unbreakable bond. He told me I was his, and that was that.
Then our world was shaken again. He got into trouble, and the police shot him. In that terrifying moment, every doubt disappeared. I knew with absolute certainty — this man was my forever. I couldn’t imagine a single day without him.
So I married him before his sentence began. Today, I visit him for conjugal visits every few weeks, and I wouldn’t trade what we have for anything in this world.
That’s why I started Bound by Love Ceremonies. I know what it feels like to love someone behind bars. I know the paperwork, the waiting, the judgment from people who don’t understand. I became an ordained minister so that no couple has to face those barriers alone. Your love deserves to be celebrated — no matter the circumstances.”
